What the account is
Signing up creates a learner account in a separate QOS Academy workspace inside the QOS Employee Portal. It is free, no payment details are asked for, and it does not give access to any customer’s data or to a paid QOS product. You take the courses as yourself, not on behalf of your employer.
What we collect and why
We collect your name, your e-mail address, the role you pick, and — if you give it — the name of your workplace. We need them to create the account, to send the activation link, to show your progress, and to put your name on a completion certificate. We also keep the ordinary technical records needed to run and secure the service. The Privacy Policy covers the detail.
Legal basis
Creating and running your account is the performance of this agreement with you. Sending you commercial messages is a separate matter and happens only with the explicit consent described below.
Commercial messages are a separate, optional choice
The consent box on the sign-up page is unticked and optional. Refusing it changes nothing about your account or the courses: it is never a condition of training. If you tick it, we record what the text said, when you ticked it, that it covers e-mail, and that it was given on the academy sign-up form, and we register the consent with the Turkish message management system (İYS) as the law requires. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us or using the unsubscribe link in any message; withdrawal stops future messages and we record when it took effect. Course-related mail — your activation link, a password reset — is service mail, not a commercial message, and continues regardless.
Certificates
Finishing a course produces a participation certificate. It says that you completed this course in QOS Academy on a date. It is not an accredited qualification, it is not a licence, and it does not certify your employer’s compliance with anything.
What the courses are — and are not
The courses are general awareness training for hospitality work. They deliberately avoid naming legal article numbers, temperatures, limits and intervals, and point instead at your own organization’s plan, procedure and authorised roles, because those are what bind you. They are not legal, medical, engineering or food-safety advice for a specific site, and they never override your employer’s instructions, your workplace doctor, or any authority. Where a course and your facility’s own procedure disagree, follow the procedure and tell the person responsible.
Fair use
The account is for one person. Do not share your credentials, do not attempt to extract the course content in bulk, and do not resell or republish the material. The courses and the platform remain ours.
Availability and change
The academy is provided as it is, free of charge. Courses may be added, corrected or withdrawn, and the service may be interrupted. We correct course content when it is wrong; if a correction matters to something you already completed, your certificate still records what you completed and when.
Closing your account
Write to hello@qos.center and we will delete the learner account and its progress. Deleting the account also ends any marketing consent attached to it. We keep what the law requires us to keep, and nothing else.
